SF will have to move further right if they are to capture middle class voters. If FG and Labour can form a coalition so can FF and SF.Endahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01731226917855356141noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2021881758028552806.post-61733236923094765542013-02-28T23:20:04.865+00:002013-02-28T23:20:04.865+00:00Michael Martin clearly has ruled out coalition wit...Michael Martin clearly has ruled out coalition with Sinn Fein based on their economic policies and actions such as picketing politicians houses. Would anyone vote for them? Certainly not Unionists and with their partitionist attitudes I doubt they would receive much if any support from Nationalists.Endanoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2021881758028552806.post-11688435173682231342013-02-19T21:29:43.036+00:002013-02-19T21:29:43.036+00:00If FF actually did organise in the north, I think ...If FF actually did organise in the north, I think FG would soon be forced to to save face and protect from 'anti-Irish' taunts. It's not talked about now, but if FF did it and SF were the third party of the state, it would seem 'mainstream' and as FG do pretend to be nationalist, I think they'd be morally forced into it. A merger with SDLP would be inevitable, if they hadn't become truly 'post-nationalist' by then. FG and FF might even merge in the north to prevent splintering of the catholic vote.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2021881758028552806.post-39438609784069097392013-02-17T22:12:41.385+00:002013-02-17T22:12:41.385+00:0012/1 on PP. As much as I detest FGs partitionist attitude I think the bookies are correct at 13/8 joint favourites on same again on forming the next government. They nearly always are. It's only a mid term poll but what's the odds on a FF / SF coalition up next?bangordubhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11143383902510299554noreply@blogger.com
